What is CTE?

Career and Technical Education provides students with the academic content, relative technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare for future education or employment in high-skill, high-wage and in-demand careers.

The Antelope Valley Adult Education can train you for a new career. We offer a wealth of Career Technical Education job training programs and classes in the areas of technology and computers, health and medicine, office administration, and many more. Antelope Valley Career Center Offers:
  • State-funded programs that are very affordable
  • Teachers are credentialed by the California Commission on teacher credentials
  • Approved courses by the California Department of Education
  • Courses are geared for adults
  • Convenient Hours and Flexible Schedule
  • State of the Art computer labs and software
  • Externships are provided based on availability and readiness
  • Upon completion of these classes and application to CCBMA, students are eligible to take the California Medical Assistants Certification Exam to become certified.
