What is it?

Medical Assistants focus on the medical care of a patient, administering medications and injections and monitoring the patient's vital health. Medical assistants support doctors and other health professionals, usually working in a hospital, health clinic, or physician's office. Demand for medical assistants is very high, and a degree in this field leads to more advanced, in-demand medical career paths.

What will i do?

A medical assistant monitors patient care and takes patient vital signs, including taking blood pressure as well as blood and urine samples. You will change wound dressings, remove stitches, and perform basic exams. Administratively you will greet and admit patients, give them instructions, and input their vital health data into computer systems.
