WHAT IS IT?

Bookkeeping involves the recording of a company's or organization's financial transactions on a regular basis. With proper bookkeeping, companies are able to track all information in their records to make key operating, investing, tax, and financial decisions. Bookkeepers manage the financial data for companies.

What will i do?

Bookkeepers use accounting software, spreadsheets and databases to update financial statements and records for organizations. They receive and record cash, checks and vouchers, known as accounts receivable, as well as track costs and income into the software. Bookkeepers produce reports such as balance sheets and income statements so that companies have an overview of their financial position.
